In today's busy life, self-compassion, or self-compassion, is an important factor that helps us maintain mental health and build quality relationships. Understanding and practicing self-compassion not only helps us treat ourselves better, but also facilitates connection and mutual understanding in relationships.
What is self-compassion ?
Self-compassion means being kind and understanding to yourself in the face of difficult experiences and negative emotions. According to professor Kristin Neff, who conducted the first research on this issue in 2000, self-compassion includes 3 elements: (1) Treating yourself well, (2) Believing that you are not alone on this journey, (3) mindfulness.
Instead of criticizing ourselves, self-compassion encourages us to accept our mistakes, view them graciously, and learn from them.
